The Happy Porcupine – New Cover Art is Here!

Topic: Self-defense (for babies)
Summary: Happy is a very happy porcupine. That’s because Happy has special self-defense skills, and he’d like to show your little one how they work.
Ages: 0-7

When I decided to write a “second amendment” book for kids, I knew I didn’t want it to be about guns. Rather, I wanted to get at the core of what self-defense is actually all about – the right to bodily integrity and autonomy.

To make the topic approachable to kids, I thought immediately that animals were the way to go. Thus, The Happy Porcupine was born. I thought it would be a nice nod to the adults to throw in a “Don’t Tread on Me” shirt because…how often do you get to see one of those on the cover of a children’s book?

The Happy Porcupine is our second book, following our first book (Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Toys).

Until we gather a few more fans, it will be available on e-book only. But it will be available very shortly. And I’m so excited about this one.
